18" Vho

I have noticed that these lights are not common any more. I am considering getting them for supplemental actinic lighting on a small tank I have. Have they been discontinued or is there some other reason why I should not get them?

On my 20" wide tank its either these or power compact actinics, and from what i have seen the VHO produce a much better light...

Also... What balast would I use to fire 18" VHO?

hellolights sells the bulbs I know Im sure they have the ballast too

yeah, thats where I saw them - was just afraid I might get pwnt for talking about a site that isnt a sponsor....

They have quite a few ballast kits, some of them say "36inch" or "48inch" and some are unlabled, but none say 18"....
