My green carpet anemone has completely buried himself under sand. I can only see a little bit of green. This anemone is like 7 inches. He lives in an established reef that has been up and running successfully without loss for a year. Yesterday a ball of epoxy fell on him he tried to eat it. I didnt let him. He was fine all day and night. I wake up this morning and he is under the sand. He is attached to the bottom of the glass as always but his green body has never gone under sand before. is this normal? someone please respond quick. Should I unbury him.

Once in a while my haddoni will do that, only when something (most of the time me) really irritates it. Has always come back out with in a couple of hours. I wouldn't be too concerned right now, but keep in an eye on it since epoxy fell on it.

So, to answer your question I would not unbury it.
