mag drive pump question?

cani use a mag drive pump externally? also will a mag 12 provide great flow in a closed loop system with a 1" bulkhead inlet, and 3/4" bulkhead outlet with 2 flare tips and a 3/4" bulkhead outlet connected to a 16 link spraybar?

It must be submerged or it will overheat and fail.

"Great flow" depends on the size of your tank and how you set up the CL.

what is a good pump to use for this?? any reccomendatons?

Technically you can use the mag pump externally. In the documentation that comes with the pump it says it can be done. The only thing is you have to make sure that there is water in the propeller chamber and tubing so it does not run dry once started.

I ran a Mag 9.5 extermally for a year. It powered my closed loop with no issues at all.

I run a mag 7 externally without any troubles, has been running for three years.
