I'm getting ready to setup a 150 (48x24x30) and was wondering if 2x250's is enough light to penetrate a 30" high tank? I'm planning on doing some pendants but not sure to whether go with DE or SE. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I think 2x250 should be golden.... I just picked a up 2x250 SE kit for my 120. you may want to mount them a little bit on the closer end to the water (6-8in off?) for the 30' depth though.... JMHO

250w DE or SE will be fine, just get good reflectors.

I have X3 Gissemann ( I know that that is not how you spell it) 14.5 K's and 108 Watts of 420 actinic on my 120 Reef.
My tank looks brighter than some of the other tanks that I have seen.
I will now use the same lighting system on my new 180 Gal tank that I'm in the process of setting up.
