Any ideas as to what is wrong with this mushroom. It has looked like this for the last two days. Everything else in the tank is normal. Is it dying or just been traumatized and needs time to recoup?

It looks pretty sick, it's definitely hanging on the edge there. Can you remove it to a QT tank where you can watch it and perhaps help it?

<edit>
I would remove it from the rest of the colony to avoid spreading anything it may have.

I don't have a QT. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the two turbo snails I put in last week. I wonder if they damaged it in some way. Normally that mushroomis the biggest on that rock.

Probably what will happen first is it will take fight and leave the rock either looking for more light, more food, better room mates, I wouldn't worry just yet. Move the rock somewhere else and see if it makes a difference, or feed the tank some dt's or cyclopeeze to see if it reacts.

I thought it was going to walk off too, but then I saw how the rest of the group looks content and it made me change my mind. And it's mouth is stuck out there pitifully far :(

A good indication if it were going to die is the slime trail it leaves, but he doesn't look too happy.

It looks like the neightboring mushrooms are really stretching for light. My mushrooms will open their mouths for extended periods of time every once in a while (though not for two days). I think it helps them "turnover" the fluids in their bodies.

The only mushrooms that I've had to die were hit by sweeper tentacles, but they pretty much dissentegrated within a day or two.

Try putting it in an area with more light and flow.

I took some more pics so you can see the layout. I have moved that particular rock higher in tank before, but the mushrooms didn't seem to like it there, so they got moved back.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I see the color a bit different, but the shroom is still pretty decent sized and nothing is rotting off, no fungus, no chunks missing, mouth isn't totally relaxed. At this point I wouldn't be concerned about it.

shrooms don't die that pretty :D they die ugly.

I had one do the same thing. I moved it all over the tank until it finally got happy again. It still isn't as big as it was before but it is allive. I would try moving it to another place.
