IceCap VS Galaxy Electronic Ballasts

Looking into 250watt E Ballasts. Is there a significant output difference between these two? Will PAR be better with one or the other?

I'm running the Galaxy and I really like them.

gcarroll posted that they overdrive bulbs like a European HQI ballast. I would have to agree since I burnt a lot of SPS tips swithching to them from standard mag ballasts.

Ok. I am going to be using Radium or Helios 20k 250watt bulbs with Lumenarc reflectors in the new setup. Do you think I'll see a significant difference with PFO HQI ballasts compared to the Galaxy E ballasts?

I'm also assuming I won't be overdriving because the Radiums are meant for HQI ballasts, right?

You're right on the radiums.

Eric at fragfarmer would probably be able to answer the color difference between the two ballasts. Maybe try his forum or give him a call.
