View Full Version : How do you keep the door hinges on your cabinets from rusting?

Replace them with stainless steel.

wipe them with a rag coated with some light oil.make sure you wipe off any extra oil that could drip.

I wipe a little Corrosion X on them. WD-40 is not good enough, if anything wipe it down with 3 in 1 oil, but I find Corrosion X to be best. If the rust is really bad, take em off give them a little buffing with a fine sand paper and then paint them with paint over rust(POR) paint....or just change em out with marine grade Stainless Steelhardware. :D
Marine grade S.S. is stamped 316, or 420. Is it me or is the number 420 following us around everywhere... :confused: :bum:
