I set a DVR recording for the next showing... I think it was Friday at like 1am. I missed the first 15 minutes and I want to see the whole thing. :) Thanks

Don't understand why when they know that a great white shark will surely die in captivity, they're hell bent on capturing one.

The ones kept at the Monterey Bay Aquarium have done pretty well, only being released back to the ocean after becoming too aggressive towards other tank mates. The whole idea behind that particular capture method is to reduce the transport stress, which is a major factor in captive shark health. Even if it isnt applied to Great Whites in particular, its may be applicable to other, more commonly collected species. Its just one more aspect of husbandry to research.

I love that show; Ive seen it at least 6 or 7 times now; Im still trying to figure out how I can fit a Beluga in my 240. Though I do have a few extra kiddie pools around... hmm....

I've seen that show twice now, and it is quite interesting. The only glitch I saw (yes I observe this type of stuff) is that they were talking about how many 747's full of cargo it took to transport everything, but the aircraft in the background being off loaded wasn't a 747.

It was interesting that they said the reason they use fake corals is because real ones compete with each other. Of course they do... it's just cheaper and easier to maintain than using real ones.

Other than that, pretty cool show.. I would have liked to see more of the aquarium after it was built though.

Dude I had a baby Orca in my 2 gallon eclipse. He eventually out grew it and he's now at Sea World in San Diego.

I watched it last night. Awesome, awesome. I think a trip to Valencia Spain might be in order somewhere in my near future. The time and energy and resources they put into that place. Hopefully they maintain the level of dedication depicted on the show.
