I am thinking on getting one as i heard the water quality improves with one (or just because i haven't spent a good amount of money on my lovely tank, LOL) Does it really makes a difference? if so what consists of an ozonizer setup, is it just the ozonizer or i need some controllers and such.

Thanks

If you have a good setup and do proper maintenance there is absolutely no need for ozonizers.

Ozone in not necessary in a reef tank. You asked what it consists of. Well here goes. Ozon is created when oxygen passes through an electric spark. It is just an unstable form of O2. It oxadizes molicules making them easier to be skimed out of the system. You can replace the air entering your skimmer with ozone. There are many problems with ozone. It kills bacteria. It is a very strong oxidizer, causing many material to break down. Everything the ozone comes in to contact with must be ozon safe. If Ozone gets into your display tank you could have real problems. For me the beniffets are just not worth it.
