It will be a 12hour drive.

Should I bring them, yes or no?

If No, Why?

If yes, how? What kind of preparation?

Just throw them in some tubs or buckets or whatever, corals travel more than 12 hours in plastic bags to get to you so they should be fine.

I say yes if you have something setup where you are going. but no if you don't.

Thanks

Have anyone done it before?
If you had to do it again how would you approach it?

ive done it twice i put all the corals in gladware containers that i drilled holes in then i put them all in a 5g bucket and filled it with tank water threee quarters full and sealed it up
i did this with 5 5g buckets and a rubbermaid container with all my LR

started it with fresh livesand and all the water in buckets and some of that premixed saltwater my LFS sells

there may be some losses but most everything made it

i moved everything from Florida to Ohio i just put the rocks coral and fish in a large rubbermaid put in a powerhead strapped it in the front seat of the uhaul. saved most of my water in containers and had extra 10 gallons for the setup. everthing made it fine little bit of an algea problem but other than that no problems

well with wife and baby and dogs.....alotta stops total trip took like 20 hours. you can get a cheap power inverter from a truck stop or walmart for 20 bucks to run powerheads heater or anything else. just put thermometer in and watch the temp stays good and i think you will be fine

Good info S!
I have a 500watt power converter already. I be moving in Jun 2008.
But I may move some corals before. My biggest problem, I want to bring all my mother colonies.
