View Full Version : Skimmer for a 10 gallon Sump

I am setting up a new tank that will be about 40 gallons. I can fit a 10 gallon standard glass tank for a sump perfectly under the stand, with no room to spare. It will be a seagrass tank and probably some seahorses- so I plan to feed heavily. What would be recommendations for a skimmer that can fit inside the 10 gallon sump?
Would an ets reef-devil fit and still leave room for a return pump?
AquaC urchin?
Others I may be overlooking- I do not want a hang on skimmer.

Thanks for any input.
Michael

i have my sump sectioned off into 3 sections w/ a mag 950, mag 7 running an etss super reef devil, and a float in there. you will have room no problem w/ a SRD

I have an AquaC EV-180 in my 15 gallon sump (little longer than a 10), the Mag 7 pump that drives it, and a Mag 9.5 for the tank return (there's even room for a Hagen 802 that pumps to the refugium). That's probably overkill on a 40, but Aqua C makes a smaller EV as well. I'm happy with it.
