I'm just starting to put fish in my new tank. Any opinions on this fish!

I have one and he is a cool looking fish every now and than when working in the tank he will nip at my arm. I like him because of the blue eyes.

I had one in the past. Great fish, lots of personality and very nice colorations.

Nice peaceful fish that hasn't bothered anything, yet. Has a favorite spot in the rocks. A voracious eater of everything I feed. Go for it!

I am with these folks.

I love my midas blenny. He lives in the first soap dish he found in my frag tank =]

Dog-like personality and look at those colors!

mine swims to me wherever I'm standing in front of the tank. they have a cool swimming motion too, different from other fish. (eel-like) Mine has begun some minor chasing of my other fish, but I'm not done stocking my tank yet and I think my last 2-3 fish will help reign in his aggressiveness.

As people have already said they are great fish. It sucks when you lose one though.

I agree with everyone else, GREAT fish and GREAT personality. Never messes with anything in my tank and is always in view showing off for me.

As for jumping, i took the top off of my 36g he is in over a year ago. I was worried about him jumping but have never had a problem since going open top. The only time he ever jumped was when i bought him, he jumped out of the bowl i was drip acclimating him in. In the tank, he almost never even goes near the top. He stays at the bottom near his barnacle rock 99% of the time.

Highly recommend!

We added our African Midas Blenny to the tank about a week ago, and he has quickly became our favorite fish! Stunning colors, and talk about a personality! You will not regret getting one for your tank :D

Mine was a little skittish the first day or so, but after he realized we just wanted to oogle him and not harm him, he's been the most social fish we have. He "performs" all day long and then curls up either on the Mag-Float or on a powerhead to sleep at night.
