I finally got my system plumbed, wired and otherwise ready to go this weekend and I'm ready to do my initial fit tests and rinse.

Is tap water sufficient for this process so long as I drain and vacuum it all out when I am done? Would I be introducing anything to the bare tank that wouldn't be diluted later on when I fill it with my salt'ed RO/DI water?

Here's a link to my tap water quality snapshot: http://www.tmh2o.com/water_system/quality/lookup/nwingfld.html

Tap water is fine for leak testing.

I agree, tap water is fine. There will be so little chorline or other contaminates left after you drain it and refill that it doesn't matter.

In my humble opinion.
