Do T5's reqiure glass or plexi top?

Will I need to purchase some type of top for my tank like glass or Plexiglass with these bulbs? Right now I have pc's right over the water and nothing between.

Not if you have the water proof endcaps. If you don't have a fixture that has them, i would suggest the plexiglass lid.

Or raise your fixture 4" or more above your water to avoid splash.

I would guess that moisture proof end-caps are not water proof than? I got the sunlight supply or whatever from reefgeek

the moisture proof ones are the ones. water proof would mean you could place the lights under water.
