here is a pic of mine its acrylic and about 39 gallons, it is fed with a mini jet rated at like 100gph but it pumps up about 6 inches first. i also have a maxi 1200 in for circulation within the fuge. I maintain about 75gph through the fuge.

Any issues with bubbles from the return?

Nope. There are a small amount of bubbles where the water returns, but they disappear right away. The only issue that happens is there is always a build up of salt creep on the pipe. I think if I extended the pipe below the water line was resolve that.

Mine is set to the left of my tank and just high enough that the drain bulkhead is above the lip of the display tank. The drain has a small elboe and an inch or so of down tube on it. No bubbles.

medic29 The water that goes in the refugium is it coming from another pump or did you put a t at the main pump

I put a "T" on the return line, then a valve so that I could control the amount of flow going through the refugium as I didn't want a lot of flow going through there.

It is support by white painted "L" brackets; they are rated at able to support 200lbs each...needless to say, my refugium does not weight that much.
