View Full Version : Need quick DIY skimmer bubbler

My Sedra 3500 gave out yesterday and I can't find a replacement anywhere for my AMD G2. What can I do to generate bubbles.

Would an airstone and good air pump work ?? I can connect a powerhead to the sump to circulate the water.

Just need something until I can acquire a replacement Sedra. Mine was still under warranty but since the manufacturer is in Korea and has nothing that resembles customer service I am not optimistic that will pan out.

That would work OK... run 2 or 3 good limewood bubblers and a cheap wal-mart air pump aould do until you get the pump replaced. Its not gonna produce like with the pump though. I would leave the pump there and just leave it off.. I other words just drop the wood bubblers down the neck and have your In to skimmer and out to sump flow. NO RECIRC at all...
