OK there seems to be a temporary shortage of CaribSea Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand locally. This is not the "sugar" sand but the sand that is sized at 1.25mm to 1.95mm. I am considering ordering some from Marine Depot but wanted some local input on different substrates. My sand bed will be 1 1/2" so not very deep. Any local sources that are reasonable ? $40.00 for a 40 lb bag seems high.
Any input on other sized sand?
Thanks

Just checked Marine Depot and they have free shipping on orders of $175 or more. There is an exception on sand, however they said they will pick up "some" of the cost. Any one else need sand ??

I was thinking about getting some from marine depot also but the $17 handling for each bag brought the price up to as much or more than Premier was selling it for. Try them before you buy from marine depot unless you can get them to cut the handling per bag drastically.
just a thought :)
