I have a relatively new Fiji Leather Coral, did fine for 2 weeks, now the last day or so it hasn't extended at all. Everything else in the tank is ok...includes bta, cabbage leather, closed brain and 3 clams.
Any ideas? Levels are ok. Could the cabbage be bothering it?

They'll do that from time to time just give it more time.

Just leave it alone, don't start moving it all over the place. Give it a couple of days and see what happens. My yellow fiji's do that every so often for a couple of days. When they extend again they are usually visably bigger.

They do this to shed a waxy film off to clean themselves from time to time. I wouldn't worry.

What's your definition of near? Closest is a foot away.
