he has small white spots on him and they are getting worse and i dont know what to do with him please help me with this if you can thanks

It sounds like ich, although hard to tell without a picture. Check out this thread in the Fish Disease and treatment forum. This forum is also a great place to help out with things like this.

I would recommend quarantine the fish for at least 7 days (the average life cycle of ich) and treat with hyposalinity and/or copper/rid-ich. That has worked well for me in the past. Others have had good luck with garlic supplimentation and more natural remedies.

He probably has ich. You can check for treatment options in the FAQ thread on the Fish Disease forum.

For prevention, get some garlic extract and add that to the food or the tank at the rate of one drop per 10 gallons. If it's not too advanced, that might be enough to reverse the infection. But if it's pretty advanced you may need to treat the infection directly in a hospital tank.
