I have a 7'' stonefish that was at the store for 8 months eating frozen and doing really well, he's been in my tank for about a week and a half and has yet to eat I know morays can go close to six months without eating I'm assuming that the stonefish can to just because he dose not move much to at all dose anyone know for sure?

Give him a live feeder so he can used to eating in his new home. Then about a week later, try a frozen shrimp or smelt. Best thing to do is put it on a stick and move it around over him so it seems alive. If he doesn't take it wait about two weeks and give it another live feeder. Repeat the process, this time wait over two weeks before adding another live one. He probably will take the frozen by then.

Don't worry, he won't starve. They should really only be fed about once a week. Overfeeding a stonefish can cause a liver disease.
