Marine Depot Live Group Order

Hi,

I am putting together an order for Marine Depot Live - From what I can see, they have a flat $35 ship fee for 1 box (up to about 40 lbs).

Anyone who wants to go in can split the shipping proportionately with the cost of their order - I am trying to do this today or tomorrow for ship on Friday....

Bad news (well not horrible). I just spoke with Marine Depot Live to make sure that they actually shipped the package and they did not. They were missing a couple of the critters on the list.

So, they are going to ship out today for tomorrow delivery. Let me know if anyone is going to have a problem picking up tomorrow....

Well, I never got an email that they shipped today like promised - I guess i will just keep an eye out and let everyone know when I do....

Just another update - I checked the status online and they have changed the delivery date to tomorrow and charged me an additional $17 delivery charge - I will fight this charge since they were supposed to deliver on Friday, but at least there is some hope....

..... maybe you should charge them for making you miss your ski trip. .... and people complain about LFS, at least they're honest about what they have in stock.

Just talked to Shawn, he's not received any word from Marine Depot Live and they are closed today (at least for phone support). He's going to follow up with them on Monday but it looks like they're just having some fulfillment and communication issues. It doesn't look like the order is coming in today.

Well, I spoke to them again - they promise that everything is in stock and will ship today. BTW, all shipping is free now. We will just have to wait and see - if I do not get an email tracking number by 4:30 PM, I will call again....

Yea - it was funny that with me ordering $300+ that i was trying to save money on shipping and it really only turned out to save me about $15 - but it helps out everyone else, so its cool.

And now shipping is free, so even better for a couple of days delay....

Dry goods should be on the way - I will check for the tracking # today.

On a sad note - the order for live arrived and we had two casualties - one was a peppermint shrimp (one of mine - no big deal) and the other was a Kole Tang in which the bag broke. I am going to hate the call to Chad on that one.

Everything else looks pretty good - one of the corals I ordered came with barely any water, so i am hoping it will make it.

What really sucks is that I think they will probably just issue me a store credit for the DOA items.

I called them today - they didn't have my email about the DOA. So I resent and am awaiting a response....

Well, it took a while, but we got the credit for the dead items. It was actually my fault in the end for the delay - some how I "froze" all outgoing mail on my mail server when re-installing it.

Anyways, I ordered repalcement fish and a couple of new items. I ordered yesterday and it came this morning and everything looks great.

Marine Depot Live has redeemed themselves :)
