Bad fish...very bad fish!

Looks like I am going to do some fishing today! My Hippo is eating my A. valida (saw her in action) and not touching any algae....... 2 strikes and now she is out on her tail!!!!!

I've had to turn-in 2 hippos so far. About the time they reached 1 year old, they both started eating my zoas and nipping at other things.

Well I'm still fishing......I put the trap in yesterday and they were all very wary of it. I left it in so they can grow to like it and I will begin feeding them sparingly and only from inside the trap. I'm looking to get out my Hippo, Purple, Yellow Tangs, as well as my Sixline Wrasse......the tank needs a new crew for some fresh activity. :)

Wow! That's no fun. Been there. . .
Just wanted to let you know what worked for me:
I used the tall and skinny "Fish Coral" to catch my Hippo. I rubber banded a piece of Seaweed to a small rock and pushed it way back in the trap. By the second day, both my yellow tang and hippo tang were swimming in to take a bite. Let them swim in a few times so they get comfortable, then close the door.

I have a yellow, hippo, atlantic blue, and bristle tooth tomini and they dont mess with any of my stuff, that I know of. I also have a foxface and a coral beauty. If you want to sell the purple let me know. I'm switching to my 125 around the 18th when I move.

Well I am 90% there! The Purple went in first and the Yellow and Hippo were following the leader. I caught all three at the same time! The Sixline is taking his sweet time venturing into the trap....tomorrow will be the day!
