Wanted: Chevron Tang or Tomini

I am looking for a Chevron or Tomini Tang has anybody seen one a any LFS or does someone have one that they would sell or trade?

Coral Paradise in Arlington Hts usually carries Tomini Tangs. Jim's stock is very healthy, you'd have to call the store for the price.

Depending on what you want to pay... Living Sea has a Chevron for ~$180. I saw it there this weekend.

Last I saw, Dave at Ocean's Floor had a few Tomini's. Jeff at Deep Reef has had Cheverons fairly regular and can get one from his Hawaii guy in a rush if he dosn't have one in stock.

I bought a Chevron from Deep Reef also, somewhere around 90$ I want to say, give or take a few bucks. I try to support LFS when I can, but liveaquaria is where I have had the best of luck with fish. They have tomini's in stock now.

Not to hijack, but what has happend to Deep Reef's website? Is it gone for good? It was nice to see what they had in stock before paying a visit.

Sara-not sure what happened to it-even when it was running it wasn't updated that much. I think that store is just a few steps away from becoming one of the better one's in the area-they have the room to expand the SW section, and a good rep for getting hard to find wrasses and other reef fish...for us western burb folks like myself I hope they do take the next step.
