I want to remove the plactic tank frame temporarily so I can work on a little project...what is the best way to remove it?

What size of tank? On large (expensive) tanks it's best avoided if at all possible because they're normally vital for structural integrity and well glued to the tank (normally with silicone). On smaller (cheap) tanks (like 10 gallons) you're more free to gamble as well as the fact that the pressure is much less (not as vital) and the frames aren't glued on as well (normally only a few dabs of silicone on 10's IME). On 10's I've removed the frames from, I've just carefully pryed them off with a screwdriver and exacto blade.

It's 10...nothing major. I'll see if I can pry it off. Thanks.

If you break it your LFS should be able to order you a new one.
