my story .
kinda sick so not for the squeamish . darn a serious thread im sorry

so about a month ago i fell down and my quick thinking i put my elbow up instead of my face (good call) and wham 200 lbs straight into a brick wall. so my elbow swelled up like a tennis ball.
so 2 days ago still tennis ball sized and a bit buzzed we had this great idea to take a syringe and suck out the stuff . oo yea so my vet tech said this might pinch (yea needle going into my elbow ) so we sucked out 2 small syringes of red bloody liquid until we caught a blood clot and stopped .
so last night it was still bit so i rammed another hypodermic needle (no syringe this time) in there and squoze awesome straight stream of red liquid coming out the end of a hypodermic needle straight into a ramiken. now all back to normal except for the fractured/ crushed elbow but that was cooooooollll

I saw a similar thing on a documentary of a woman sailing around the world alone.. i think it was around the world.. long way.

Anyway.. she was on a video conference with doctors who told her she would have to either operate on her own elbow or she would probably lose the arm (and would probably have to cut it off herself). So.. she cuts into this huge lump in her elbow which produces about a pint or so of this yellow/red liquid and a painfully relieved sigh from the nautical woman.

All in all pretty nasty.

Y'know, it would be a really good thing to go to a people doctor---who might do the same thing, but probably with sterile instruments, and might give you a nice dose of antibiotic to be sure you don't end up with a staphylococcus infection in the joint.

we have all sterile stuff here at the house due to the being a vet tech here so really i think rather costing me about 2-300 buckaroos and have them do the same thing and me catch a cold from the hospital environment ehh do it here except for x-rays and surgery probally needed but o well =) okee almost nappy time

Well, once you're healed you could re-enact it by sticking a stressed pufferfish on your elbow :) that may cause more harm than good though...

Guess I shouldn't mention the fact that I can't recall the last time I changed the lancet on the finger sticker thingy for my blood glucose testing meter.

alright there is still a lil fluid built up in there so in a few days ill get the cam out and film it for you all. ill have to wait to see if it fills up again.

not trying to hijack or 1 up, ... just relating...

my mrs had a c section... wasnt healling right... so the docs pulled the skin back open.. back down the the fatty layers.... then for the next several weeks i got to pack it full of gause n rebandage it daily while it healed again... fortunatly it never changed color or produced more than the clear healing ooze (lots of antibiotics), but ill never look at lasagna the same way again

I'm not a doctor... I repeat I am not a doctor! But you can take up to 800 mg of Ibuprofin at one time. I don't recommend mixing it with bourban though!
