What is your favorite thing in your tank?

Please also tell us exactly what it is and why it is your favorite. (And post a picture if possible!)

I figured this would be a good way to get to know people and their tanks.

I think I would be devastated if I lost my anemone. Mostly because the clown fish and an anemone were the very first things I put in the tank. I learned the hard way that my tank wasn't ready for an anemone, but 6 months later I got another, and have had it ever since. It is now too big to go in a display with corals, so it basically has its own 23 gallon tank, but I can't bear to get rid of it.

PS- my hawkfish and blenny are a very close second and third. They have such great personalities! They were also among the first things I put in my tank.

Don't have a good pic of it right now, but my vote was for a coral. I love my Yuma that is orangish-pink with a blue base and as wide as a dollar bill is long:)

Thanks for the kind comments! If everyone remembers the 125 I think at AA. Before Aaron got the big bow front, Any how they came form that tank . I have had them for 3 yrs and have had them split 5 times the most recent was last week 1 had split and at this point in time i have 3.
Calvin 415 how liong have you had the Harliquin shrimp? I had a pair and wow they took care of the astra stars fast. So i would reccomend have some other food source handy. I have heard that they like choclete stars. I had a serpent in the same tank and they never touched him.

The best thing about the hobby for me is spending time with my daughter Jasmine. She loves to sit and watch our tank with me, it is the best time of the day. I hope she gets into the hobby when she grows up.

Yeah boy...

Yep-- I am the equipment one, somewhat by defalt. I am currently setting up my 23ish gallon tank so no livestock yet. I guess I would have to go with my Euroreef Skimmer... but it may soon be replaced hopefully by a modded SCWD from an old one that is currently not working (I love the DIY forums).

I've had my pair for about 6 weeks, I keep CC stars in the sump and feed them a leg about every 10 days...

Charlie, I have had a Harliquin for about 4 months. I don't feed as often as Calvin does. I go about 3-4 weeks between feedings. This way, I know he is taking care of the Asterinias.

I love to watch the symbiotic relationship between my Yasha Haze goby and my Randall's pistol shrimp. Just wish I could find a mate for the goby.
