Cheato ?

So, my cheato has turned hard and brittle, maybe from dosing buffer improperly. Is this a problem I should worry about, i.e. will the cheato recover?

It might just be encrusted with calcium carbonate. Have you tried taking out a strand to see if there's still a green core (easier said than done...).

My guess is, if there's one living cell, it will recover... eventually.

But I don't have a similar experience.

You could use it to scrub out your pots and pans and maybe the Bar B Q grill........
