I'm trying to figure out whether there will be any fees when people pay me through PayPal for the group buy I'm doing. I have a regular account that I do not have to pay anything for.
The following is the language I found regarding fees:
Receive payments funded by PayPal Balance, PayPal Instant Transfer or PayPal eCheck = Free
Receive payments funded by Credit Card, Debit Card = 4.9 % + $0.30(limit of 5 transactions per 12 month period)
This my first group buy. :)

Upgraded to Premier, and fees are 3%
if I pay you with what is in my paypal account there is no fee. But if I was to paypal you from my debit card or checking account they will deduct the fee.

In order to accept over a certain amount of money in a month (used to be a few hundred, but I think they lowered it), you have to have a premier account. Once that account is convereted, all trsansactions the involve recieving money have the fees deducted.

yeah, money in paypal account used as a payment there is no fee. Cards and checking have the 3% fee. When you are figuring out what to charge them don't just take the total and add 3%, you will be short. It's not much short but it adds up in a hurry.
What you want to charge is this:
Total Price = Subtotal + (Subtotal x 3.094%)
