I was just curious, does anyone put Hawaiin Featherdusters in their refugium to help with nutrient export, etc? Do they or do they not affect the microfauna that you are trying to grow in a refugium? If you're using a DSB is it a bad idea to bury them in the sand if you decide to use them? I haven't set up my refugium yet so there is no danger of upsetting the layers of filtration in a DSB. Thanks in advance for any input!

I'd also be interested in this. I know from snorkeling in bays and grass flats that there are often feather dusters present in the mud. I'm not sure how it would effect the micro-life in the fuge though.

I do know that a couple would look good in my fuge :D.
