Has anyone had any experience with this dartfish before (Nemateleotris helfrichi).

Thinking of adding it to my 24gal tank. Its tank mates would be
2 Perculas
1 small Salfin (temporary tankmate)

All water parameters are good
Thanks in advance for any replies!

I have mine in with a sailfin blenny and it's doing quite well. It was a bit picky with eating at first but after about a week it pretty much ate whatever I wanted to feed.

i have become severely addicted to these fish. lol i have 4 in my 180 reef at home. all eat like champs. They are great little fish. I have them in with fairies, gobies, tangs and a blenny. all get along great.

For those with this fish, do you have a lid on the tank? Ive heard they are jumpers, and thats one costly carpet ride!

Yep, the tank is completely covered. I've never seen it try to jump but it's not worth the risk

Just bought mine today and seems to be doing okay! Thanks for the replies. I am wondering how do you tell the sex of the fish? Would be interested to find it a mate.

a closed top or enclosed canopy is a must. They are crazy jumpers!

you wont find them for under 100$ unless the person doesn't know what it is or someone just wants to get rid of it...
