This is why you have to be very picky where you place your green star polyps in the tank! They look cool on an island rock by themselves.. but they take over everyplace else.

beatiful toadstool!!!! how big was he when you got him? how long did it take to get that big? awsome tank too :)

The toadstool was about 3" when I bought it (5 years ago). Something interesting is happening to the toadstool also... it looks like it's splitting. It's done this before (lasted about a year) but then it finally fused back together until this year. See the pics below for a better description :)

so im guessing you clowns like him, any feeding tips? id love for my clowns to host in any thing, i almost want to take my 2 back and get ones hosting in a anemone already

Yes the clowns love the toadstool, they have hosted in it for years now. They always lay their eggs on the sides of the toadstool too. The toadstool doesn't seem to mind both clowns being in it all the time. Of course the tenticles retract completely at night so the clowns sorta hang out in the "folds" of the head of the coral.
