I had a pair of coralife satellite hqi lights on my 75 gallon for the last year and i replaced the bulbs with 14k giesemann bulbs. I raised the lights about 10-12 inches off the water and only fired them for a few hours per day and they still slowly burned up all my corals and bleached my live rock?!?!?!?!? anyone had this problem??? how can I break them in?? HELP!!!!

I'd try some screens to block the light. That seems a bit severe in terms of reaction. The time the bulbs are on is not critical, though. This is the same fixture?

Yes, i just replaced the bulbs......i never had problems with the lights when i bought them, then i got some cheap bulbs and they did the same thing, then i broke down my tank......i recently set it back up for a month with the old bulbs, everything was fine so i bought some high quality bulbs and they did the same thing.......
