The guy at my LFS said he takes care of a ladies tank with two sehorses that she's had for a long time and they are both about 6-8 inches tall. Seems awfully big!
Lets see some pictures of your seahorses!

8"
Depending on the species smaller or larger is possible.

What breeds get to be that size? Erectus? I hope so, they seem to be the hardiest. I want them to get big and easy to see.

Seahorses come in a variety of sizes from the tiny pygmys, less than 1 inch to the pot-bellied seahorse which can grow to over 12 inches.
6-8 inches is about right for several of the common species; erectus, redii, kuda.
My erectus are about 6-7 inches but are just about a year old and may gow a bit yet.

SWEET! haha, I've been browsing the LFS and they are always very small, like 1 inch. Good to know they get to be a noticeable size!
