No discount, but seems to be good service....
Thanks for the question. The last three reef clubs we have dealt with, the lead person was named Robert. That’s funny. We do have Sea Grass wrasses all the time so that won’t be a problem. As far as discounts go, let me explain how we do things. When a club orders for their members, it is usually at least 8 or more people ordering. There is a point person which I imagine is you. Your job is to collect the orders and payments and submit those to us. Our job is to make your life as easy as possible. What we will do is separate each individual persons order into numbered groups and clearly label each individual bag so that you can process the animals upon arrival simply and easily. We will also provide each of your members who order with their own acclimation and care kit. We also handle each DOA or DAA on an individual basis removing that headache from your shoulders. So, bottom line, we do not offer group discounts but the extra service and time savings for you more than makes up for it. We also charge flat rate shipping so the total shipping cost gets absorbed by the order itself and each person ends up paying a small percentage. If you want, you can deal directly with me on this. It usually works out a little easier than using the website. Give me a call at the number below and we can talk about details. I can also let you know about some other cost saving deals we have for groups such as yours. I look forward to talking with you soon.

We got three people ordering. Don't know if they consider that a group order. Anyone else want anything?

I am not going in on this order after all. Sorry if I put anyone in a bind with the shipping split.

Since we have only 3-4, is it worth the shipping? Should we wait until we get more?
I'd really like to get the shrimp.

Let's wait a little while until there are a few more that want to order. 2-3 people equals a lot of shipping.

I bet Emerald Bay can come close to, if not beat the prices at bluezoo. I have been searching on their website, and most of the prices are not incredibly low.

I'd be happy to give Sean the chance to make the sale. It seems it is a question of availability but if we give him a wish list maybe he can fill it.

I always thought about bringin' that up. The LFS do alot, give 10% off, host meetings, donate stuff for meetings and frag swap, give a higher % off at meeting. I wondered, even though they sale snails, fish, etc. if they would do group orders. I know the reeftopia orders can get big. I remember AC did do a IO salt order awhile back, and they didnt even cary IO at the time. Just a thought.

You might be surprised what they can get in for you. On an individual basis, they may not be as quick because they have so many other things to worry about, so one extra fish gets lost in the shuffle, but if you are persistent, you can usually get them to order whatever you want. Thye are tied to certain availability lists, but will look around for you if they knwo you want something. Sean checked with a njumber of suppliers when we were hunting for a pair of lineatus wrasses for the swap livestock grand prize. It didn't work out for us, but he tried everything he could... Even if you pay a little more, you can see the fish before you buy it and get them to hold it to make sure it is healthy before taking it home (can't do that with OFS). You might have to put down a deposit on a special (i.e., expensive) fish, but I'd bet both stores would work with you. Seems like the Critter even had a mystery wrasse for like $160 once. You don't find them for under $200 very often on line (especially with shipping, etc.).
