I have a fairly new DSB, about 5" of the HD sand...it looks really nice, there seems to be a LOT of little tiny airbubbles(thats what it looks like) up against the front glass under the sand...im wondering if i should push down to relase these bubbles or if they will go away..they seem to get more and more as the weeks go on...the DSB is about a month old im guessing..

also, i puta glass jar in there with some CC to get some small xenia frags attached to some CC so i can glue them to larger LR pieces...i pushed the jar down in the sand a bit just to secure it so it wont move or allow too much flow about the jar, or else teh frags will float out..
is this disturbng the DSB? should i try not to stir it around at all or what...
thanks
Ross

The bubbles are in all likelihood nitrogen gas, and will dissipate into the atmosphere eventually. If the sand turns black and bubbles appear that is hydrogen sulphide (rotten egg smell) and it too will go away in time.
