I'm in the process of transfering livestock from my 55g to the 90g..

livestock currently in 55g:
*Yellow tang (~3")
*Ocellaris clown (~1")
*Bicolor blenny (2-3")
*various cleaners (snails, hermits, etc...)
*corals including GSP, zoas, shrooms, frogspawn, etc...
*plenty of LR in both tanks (am transfering everything from the 55g)

does anyone have some tips on how to do this? should I move all the corals at once? how about the fish?

I would do it all at once.

Is your 55g a bare bottom? or does it have a sand bed?

In your new 90g tank... Do you have a sump/refugium? Is the total volume of saltwater = 90 gallons? If so, then you need to make around 40g of new saltwater.

I would seed the new saltwater with your 55g tank water by a water change. The new saltwater should be mixed around a week before the water change.

Take all the stuff out and place it in 5g and 1g buckets. Depending on how fast you do it and the temp of your house... you may or may not need a heater and powerheads in your buckets.

What about your 90g tank... does it have a sand bed?
