why is it that the japanease are always the ones pulling ultra rare crap like megamouths, giant squid and this thing out of the ocean?

kinda f'ed up if you ask me. i hope the thing was surfacing to die.
not a catch on a deep sea fishing boat.

its like whoa! never seen one of those before, lets kill it!!

i think some eco-terrorist hippies should move to japan. they could ram whale ships and deep sea fishing boats w/ rubber dinggies, and throw tofu stink bombs into the sushi bars that serve mantis shrimp!

Any of you biologist types that can comment on the viability of such a deep water animal at shallow depths? I'm kind of curious as to the differences in the partial pressure of oxygen at shallow depths as compared to greater depths and whether or not his gills could function well enough for him to breath near the surface.

just by watching the video u can clearly see that his gills doesnt look to normal? as if its innergills were cominng out?
