new part of my cycle, just wanna know what it is

I have these little poofs all over the place. i got decent pics, see below. is it hair algea? diatoms are almost gone, now these green things. anyone know whats next? or is it different for each tank?

I would just leave the lighting off til your cycle is over.

Just plain ol hair algae.

I had that at the end of my cycle... I cleaned it off and it never came back. Got kinda thick towards the end of the cycle.

hm. maybe is near the ends of the cycle, or its teasing. ammonia .25 if even. nitrite, no detection, nitrate 2.5 :D

if you still have traces of ammonia you will still ahve a nitrite spike as the ammonia is converted to Nitrite. I know it's hard but I'd wait until everything is zero even nitrates before adding anything.

Oh im waiting, i tossed a few more pieces of my cured LR in there and a few hermits just to see what happened, there all alive and munching

wow. so i took my chances. added 4 turbo snails and a hand full of hermits. felt guilty about it actually. but... those AWSOME turbos are attacking that poof algea like theres no tomorrow, seak and destroy. theyve turned all my brown rocks back to white, and cleaned the entire back glass over night!! they keep it up and im going to have to suppliment food!! monsters...
