Maxi-Jet 1200 RC mod is a 50% success. Need some help.

Well I made the Maxi-Jet RC mod and I was going to put it on my CSS 125 but I wanted to test it out first. So I hooked it up to a 2 liter bottle and good thing I did. The first thing is it is very noisy. I thing it might be noisy because of the stock impeller, but not sure. Will a needle wheel or mesh impeller cut the noise down? The second thing is the pump gets pretty hot. Not sure if the heat is a problem or not, but with it getting so hot will the pump burn out faster?

I have found that the mesh mod on the 1200 is by far the quietest. It puts out the finest bubbles too. I've tried them all and the mesh is my favorite. Not the gutter guard for this particular pump.
