Not to many people run aqua medic skimmers on here. But most that do seem to really like them.

noticed that , Aquamedic is top quality i was running 2 tunze skimmer before i added this , and that skimmate was in ten mins from switchon can here the pump either , i am to say the least very very impressed , the skimmer is used in hang on mode atm , as i am building a new 200gallon tank with sump etc , and it will be going in that sump , so his is just temp , but rated at 360 uk gallons not bad !

btw , that skimmer cup holds over 2 litres of skimate , give you an idea of the size of the beast!

With the exception of the quirky T1000, most Aquamedic skimmers are real champs! Glad you like your new 'blue'. Im a huge fan of their T5000 line... my cousin uses a 'baby' on his 180g... its hard to beat.

That bugger looks like a remora-killer to me!

skimmer is huge m8 the pump is ocean runner needle wheel 3500lph i think specs says it draws in 800lph air , the reaction chamber is FULL i mean FULL of tiny bubbles this sits between the 5000 and the 1000 mrp of £299 great!

This has been on my tank for 1 hour and i am not kidding the water looks less "yellow" already i only use a 400 xm 10k lamp , so water always looked slightly yellow , .not now!

Notice the inside cone shape of the skimmer cup.. thats a patent they have out for it. Just thought I throw that out there. ;)

yip and the bubbles goes down into a inverse cone shap at the bottom , great design aquamedic said at a show that they were £150,000 just for the setup mould for this thing lol
