I think I am going to add one of these fish to my tank as I really love the perpetual frown they have as well as the overall coloration. My question, is it okay with all types of corals (especially softies and zoo's) as well as peacful towards it's tankmates?

mine is peaceful, he'll occasionally try to scare away my false perc. but he ignores him and he definately never gives chase. he just protects and stays in his cave area. doesn't bother any corals.

If you can get a bigger specimen I would I have mine for about 3 or 4 months and it's only about 1.5" and I hardly see it, never leaves his cave a piece of pvc, other than that it's a peacefull fish. I have it in a mixed reef. softies, sps, lps and clams

have had one for 2 years and he is cool. Bothers nothing and is always peeking out. comes out for food.

Mine is peaceful and doesn't bother a thing. This is a fish that will claim a small cave or hole and constantly peek out. Don't expect to see him swimming about the tank.

Will he bother my Purple Firefish?

No. They bluster, but rarely bite. The purple firefish is actually meaner.

i have 2 and they are the coolest little fish. The one in my 10 gallon loves my clam he thinks its his bed. and the one in my 60 is the most active fish in the tank. He loves to steal my snails when they crawl in front of his cave. If I were you i would definately get one.

I have only seen the whole fish when I first put him in the tank. He and his pistol shrimp are never completely out of their hole. Make sure the rock is on the bottom of the tank, I had a small collapse within 12 hours.
