Saw some silver fish frozen fish at Wholey's and some of the Asian markets in the strip today and they are much cheaper than the silversides you see at the LFS. Are they the same thing?

agree with dippin...silverside is an actual name i think. Unless you can make sure their names are the same, i doubt they are.

But dont they sell silversides at other places besides the lfs? I may be wrong, but i went to a fishing shop once to buy some tackle (this was long ago too...i was like 10 or something lol) and i think i saw a pack of silversides in their freezer. But again, i may be wrong...just one place you may wanna look.

Silversides are also known as glass minnows. I buy mine from the florida keys in 10 pound bags for 8.99, cant beat it. In most lfs's they are that just for about 4 ounces.
