stomatella snails

These are the snails with a half shell on them right?!

I have about 30 or 40 of these things but the main chunk of them come out at night, also i have white and black ones, are they the same thing?

Any help appreciated!

I have them also. good glass cleaners

Are these thing none to multiply?

I turn of the lights, and then i go back there about an hour later and there is about 50 of the white and black ones all over the rocks and glass, kinda cool just dont want them to start takin over the tank

Yes these things have multiplied in my tank from several hitchhikers to about 50-75 different sized guys.

I have them, great addition to clean up crew, they are more active than all the other snails. Only probelm I have is that my peepermints eat them. I find their little half shells on the bottom.

I used to have lots of them but only the big ones survived my skunk cleaner shrimp hunting and killing them. I have seen them releasing sperm and eggs into the tank. Even if they don't make babies, they do feed the corals with their reproductive activities. They are good cleaners and fast movers (for snails)
