I was debating on which one i should get, i was going to get 2 tunzes with the multi-controller, but i was thinking the price that i pay for that, i might as well get me 2 vortechs instead.

Only thing that is weighing my decision on the vortechs is about the controller coming out for them, i have heard that the one currently out is not compatible with the controller coming out and will have to be sent back to them when the new version comes out, is that true?

I was also looking into 2 nano streams would 2 of these be too much for a 90 gallon? (also would it be possible to operate these on a wave maker? anyone try it?)

I dont know what the outuput is on any of those, but so you know, go for at least 20 times turnover, but 25 is better. Take the tank volume (90 gallons) and multiply it by 20 (for 20 times turnover per hour). This comes out to 1800 right? yea.. So you'll need at least 1800 gallons per hour total out of all powerheads and filters, but NOT including skimmers. They dont put out flow.

Well i have an eheim 1262 for my return i was looking at 2 of the tunze nanostream 6045 (with a controller) so i guess that would do right? I like the nanostreams because it includes the magnet and looks better than the regular streams.:o

Ooops just read 6025 & 6045 are not controllable. So i guess the nano 6055 if i get it.

Yeah, the 6055's are the only controllable streams. The are great pumps, but the vortechs are pretty sweet too. Check out the Tunze forums for more info. All kinds of talk about the streams right now.

I was going to get 2 tunze nanostream 6055's with the controller, but then i was looking into 2 vortechs but they cost more and the controller is not out yet, but I'm thinking its going to cost a pretty penny for it maybe $300ish? If i go either way i would have to buy one at a time, so maybe ill buy one at a time. Only thing i don't like about the vortech is the part that is outside, i don't want people to mess with it though:eek: Oh and another point, i don't think that you can point it in other directions can you:confused:

why not get 2 maxi-jet 1200's and mod it?

I was going to do that, i can afford the nanostreams, they look nice, the maxi-jet's i have 3 of, i like that the nanostreams have the magnets with it, unlike the maxi-jets, by time i buy the parts to mod, and magnets to hold them i might as well spring for them lol. Not saying the maxis are bad.
