LED lighting
Anyone had any experience using LED lighting for their main lighting in their aquarium? Where could I find a discussion on the pros/cons of using them? I have read some research about LEDs being the "light of the future" for just about every application and I'm curious about it's use in aquaria.

consenus seems to be that while LEDs are improving, they are not yet a viable alternative to fluorescent and MH.

Jeremy, I do not believe that LED has made it into the aquaria trade as yet. If you go to the http://www.championlighting.com there is a link there about led lighting and how they say that they are working with the manufacturer to bring this to the aquaria market. IMO, I think we are a few years away from having LED lights that will replace what we use today, especially for reef tanks. HTH
