I think my boss may be spying on me

I was typing away posting on a thread in the lounge on RC.

As I hit the submit button. I turned towards the door of my office which is always open.

It was strange that I saw him standing off to the side in front of my office. The angle where he was standing was the angle to stand if you wanted to see my PC screen.

As I turned to look, he said.. "arr... I'll be right back, I have to go to the 5th floor".

I thought that was odd. I mean since when did he need to tell me
where he was going and when he was coming, etc.

Did he wanted to see me ? talk to me or was he spying on me ?

I wanted to go to lunch but felt I had to wait. May be he did wanted to talk to me. But waht about ?

Hmmm.... strange.

Is there anything significant about the 5th floor? Like your main IT area where he could go track your internet use?

nope, nothin special there on the 5th floor.

May be I'm just paranoid. Today's Friday, many people have the day off. In our corner, just he and I are here. May be he just wanted to tell me where he would be.

But you knbow its been an hour and 30 minutes and he ain't back yet.

Back in 97 I was working for a company where earlier in the day I had walked in with the largest client contract in company history. After taking care of some business, I decided to visit some non G-rated sites. Back then, there was only 4 people who had dial-up internet access at the company, no network, kind of wide open. Anyway I saw the president of the company walking to my office. I started to X out the screens. And of course with every X I hit, 5 more screens opened up. So the president walks in and is standing even with my monitor. Congratulates me on getting the contract signed, chitty-chats about the client and starts to walk away. He takes one step and turns back around and said "Don't you hate those porn sites that you can't close before the boss walks in." He laughs and walks away. That was the very last time I visited a site like that.

We get to use our computers for company business. It's good for business if I stay calm and relaxed by hanging out here.

My doc doesn't have a clue nor would he care. I'm always on there looking for things he wants to buy for his kids and stuff. I can only go on when we don't have a lot of patients. On those light days I spend all day here.

Maybe just paranoid, it being Friday and all with few people to occupy his attention.
