Mike,
Drop me a note when you wanna play with acrylic, Id like to come help out. Ive played a little with success. I also have a bunch of 7"x4' pieces of scrap I was going to turn into a nano of sorts, Id be more than willing to bring it by, It would give us a quick half hour crash course with acrylic and weldon before playing with the thick stuff. If nothing else some practice with applying weldon is highly recomended, From the little ive done its more art than anything

mflamb... Where did you find the best deal on your acrylic? Sometime next year I'll be making 4 or 6 prop/fuge tanks after I get my sump closet built out. Thanks.

Toolguy...I've been talking with Dan at Total Plastics. They're in an industrial park near 301 and 60 at 203 Kelsey.
flfirefighter13...practice would be good.

mflamb... Thanks a ton. Sounds like they are in Sabal Park. Let me know whenever you decide to have an open house for the tank. I'm sure it's going to look awesome!

Sweeeeeet pumps! Mike, what type of Weldon are you going to use? I've used the 4 and had it everywhere LOL - it's just like water.

Any reason you picked these over others - those are nice. Here I'm playing with some Quiet One 4000's - LOL. Looks like 1-1/2 inch output and maybe 2 inch input, is that correct?

One thing I learned using the #4 was the cuts must be perfect. I was going to pick up some that works good but it's thicker and fills in the gaps if it's not perfect. We shall see about that .

I picked the Darts because they're quiet, as efficient as pumps this size get, have a 3 year warranty, have a history of great customer service, Ocean Motion says they work great with the OM 4 way.

I can't believe you set those directly on the pool table! That would be early death at my house!

Wish you would all take a trip to Vegas after you perfect the acrylic work. We're looking to do a few diy workshops and need some expertise!

You have a very sweet set up going here. I love the back wall on your tank. That will look very cool once it has some Coraline algae and growth on it. I love your ocean motions set up to. You should get some nice water movement out of it.

I will be watching this thread now for sure. Keep up the good work.

Mike any chance you can smack a tape measure to one of those darts and let me know how much real estate they require? I just ordered on and am trying to figure out the best place to let it live.
