I have cardinals, scooter blennie, dottybacks, and a lawnmower blenny wich is iffy.

The scooter blennie is highly recommended they are awesome. A sixline would be ok.

if i get a scooter blenny will it compete with the watchman and a sixline wrasse for the microfauna? do i have to have an established refugium for them?

i dont think i can get any dottybacks because of the royal gramma, i was thinking of the cardinals also but they look really weird and still not used to the look

I think the cardinals look better when you have a few of them. Yes the scooter will compete. You should have a refugium. I have never had any luck with royal gamma's mine always disappear. So I can't help you there lol sorry.

how many is a few for them? because i think i might get them too. i think i'm sold on them now. i think so far its these:

-scooter blenny
-sixline wrasse
-banggai cardinals
-mandarin

i know i can only pick one of the 3 that eat copepods and have to have an established refugium for them; so which one of those should i get? wrasse, mandarin, or scooter blenny? keep in mind that im going to go ahead and add baffles to the sump and add live rock and wait a few months to get the pod population up

No don't mix the scooter and the mandrin. They might kill each other and for sure they will not have enough to eat. Buy one or the other. I beleve scooters are alot hardier.

As for bangaii's do 2 or 3. I only have one now, I am cheap when it comes to fish and they are a little spendy to me

I'D RATHER BUY MORE CLAMS LOL, What I know I have a problems and I am ok with that.

i know what you mean. i wish i could buy more clams but two of the four i had died for unexpected reasons and i really dont want to get anymore until a few months from now and see how the other two clams i have do :\

is there a problem with adding 2 males or 2 female banggais? i know i wont be able to tell but just wondering

and i think might try a mandarin or scooter blenny in a few months

I have a scooter blenny too, they're freakin' awesome. I don't have a fuge yet, but i attached a hard piece of airline tubing to a feeder syringe and i hand feed him brine shrimp.

Theyre very reef safe, and curious little buggers :P everytime i put a new rock or invert he cautiously inspects it, but comes to my hand the second i put it in
