now here are some of the tank and some of the inhabitants. Mind you that i am not a photographer, and the cloudiness of the tank is due to microbubble (any suggestions would be appreciated)

Sweet looking tank!

Can you edit your posts and just hit return in between the pics you inserted? Makes it easier so you dont have to scroll sideways.

also all of these pics were taken well over a month ago and a lot of work and rearranging has been done since and hopefully i will be making a rather large fish and invert order soon. Once again any suggestions on eleminating the microbubble would be more than appreciated

wow out of all the experience on here i cant believe no one has any suggestions for the elemination of microbubble. That said for all the people on here that were worried about structual integrity of the system it has been running for a few months and no problems or "cracks" in the tank . also i lucked into a very large nice house that i possibly will be purchasing and will probably have to move this beast{wich i am not looking forward to} lol. so i will be making some changes as i do this. so any suggestions that are politely put would be much appreciated. some of the changes thus far will include a larger sump that will be relocated to the new garage and some additional support into the stand {i dont feel it needs it but may as well do it} and i am thinking of using some soft lines instead of all hard plumbing , more of a mix of the 2. so i will keep posted on this issue because i am not certain if it is going to happen. so until then comments on the microbubble and suggestions for upgrades if i move it are welcome thanks guys{and gals}

I have seen alot of rock in sumps were the returns enter. It helps make a sort of bubble trap. Have you double checked all your plumbing so there are no leaks. If you have any threaded pipes it can't hurt to take them all apart and wrap them again with teflon tape.

I also use this type of filter material in my sump.
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...?N=2004+113808
The water enterS my sump through a box with this material. I have to clean it out every week or every other.

Hope that helps. You sure have a lot of big corals. I have been starting to buy little frags but they are way little. I think I will just buy a big one every month and save my money. I guess I need to order stuff online. Is that where you got yours at?

FWIW - Glass Cages DOES very strongly recommend a flat surface stand.

Oh well

thanks jamesurq for your input i have had numerous people say that and i have read the card that arrived with the tank i have thought about it and am still considering it but im not sure how the setup would be any more sturdy with it considering that there will be 2 very large cutouts along the backside of it for the 6 large drain holes that are in the bottom of the tank. i have a client that is an engineer and we are planning to sit down and figure out if it would be any stronger or safer for the tank( and my living room, lol) to do it that way. thanks for your input any more you may have would be appreciated

Great job on the new tank. How many people did it take to carry it into the house. What type of skimmer and calcium reactor are you running?

in reply to snook65 in reply to your questions 1st it took 8 of us (2of wich are big enough to count for 2 each lol) as far as skimmer and calcium reactor there is none this tank is running simply off of a refugium alone i add calcium the old fashioned way when it needs it and currently there has only been 1 water change. i am running about 4lbs of carbon and two bags of phosban on a drip tray in the sump. my philosophy is "simple simple simple" i adopted this method after acidentaly stumbling on it with my reef that is in the wall of my tattoo studio. i was running a 3ft downdraft skimmer and didnt notice when it malfunctioned (for almost a month} but out of nowhere i had better water clarity and coral response then ever and the tank had been running for 4 years, it has now been running like this for over a year and never looked better.
