Aptasia control.

I recently removed a small rock from my tank because it had an Aptasia attached. Any idea how long it will take to die out of the water?

1) There's nothing else on the rock , so no emergency.

2) I don't have any kalk paste, etc. Even if I did, I've forgotten which side of the rock it's on.

3) I don't own a blowtorch.
